Recently, the cracking gas compressor unit of the No. 1 ethylene cracking unit of Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Corporation achieved continuous and stable operation, marking the successful completion of the localization task of the thrust bearing of the compressor unit. This is the first time that the compressor thrust bearing of the large-scale cracking unit of Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Corporation has completed localization transformation.

The ethylene cracking gas compressor unit is the core equipment of the No.1 ethylene cracking unit of Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company, and the thrust bearing is the core component of the compressor unit. In 2020, Zhenhai Refining and Chemical carried out localization research on thrust bearings of compressor units, organized technical exchanges, comparative research, expert discussions, and determined manufacturers and solutions. In the absence of experience to follow, the research team actively studied foreign materials, continuously expanded their thinking to connect with manufacturers, conducted tests in multiple directions, and ultimately completed the localization of thrust bearings, saving more than 1.5 million yuan compared to using imported accessories. At present, the bearing displacement and temperature of the ethylene cracking gas compressor unit are normal, and the unit operates well.
